At Griffith, we provide a convenient, no-worry automatic delivery option for residential gas and oil furnaces, and commercial heating systems. We record the daily high and low temperatures throughout the year and develop a unique ‘burning rate,’ called a k-factor, for each of our customers. This information is entered into our delivery software every evening and used to optimize deliveries. With this technology, we can avoid excessive fuel deliveries and, most importantly, make sure our customers never run out of fuel.
While the majority of our customers choose to enjoy the convenience of our automatic delivery option to keep their fuel tank(s) full, others prefer to call and schedule each delivery. Whether your fuel usage varies drastically or you just like to keep track of orders yourself, we gladly accommodate will-call deliveries any time.
The Griffith No-Run-Out Guarantee
Our Delivery Team’s primary goal is to reduce the chances of a no-fuel situation for all of our customers. We believe so strongly in our team that we have developed a No-Run-Out Guarantee that promises a $50 credit to an automatic delivery customer’s account if they run out of fuel. The guarantee does not cover run-out situations that are due to payment issues.
In order to do this, we need your participation. It is important for our customers to call their local Griffith Energy office and inform them of any fuel use, heating or storage tank changes. For example, if you temporarily raise the thermostat higher than normal to accommodate a house guest or indefinitely increase fuel usage due to a new addition to the family, call us so that we can adjust your k-factor accordingly and keep your home or business running like a well-oiled machine.
